Demand-oriented control of light and shade
Baier supplied brightly coloured sliding shutters to match the school’s colourful logo. The individual sliding shutters consist of extruded aluminium frame profiles filled with expanded metal. The movable shutters control light and shade as needed. The optimal balance between light transmission and effective shading makes it possible to study comfortably in daylight. The summer sun is largely kept out by the arrangement of the meshes and bonnets in the expanded metal, yet still appears transparent in both directions of view. A particular challenge for the specialists from Baier was the large spans of up to 3600 mm between the fixing points on the post-and-beam façade. The fastening was designed specifically for the project, and the external sun protection was fastened to the on-site sun protection bolts of the façade using rectangular tubes.
Both stable guidance of the sliding shutters and reliable drainage
On the ground floor, the shade elements are guided in a comb grate. The robust, easy-care aluminium grating guarantees stable guidance of the sunshade elements and at the same time covers the stainless steel drainage channel underneath. The support profiles for the suspension of the ground floor shutters were combined with the guide of the shutters above by means of a special construction and fastened to a vertical post profile. Baier’s terrace profile was used as a guide for the roller bolts of the movable shutters on the upper floor. The 3-leaf telescopic system could thus be realised with only one profile.

Sophisticated technology that convinces
Each system is individually controlled and motor-operated. The fittings used impress with their sophisticated technology, excellent workmanship and flexibility. A sophisticated track system with integrated carriages allows the sliding shutters to glide almost silently.
Bright, vivid colours create a lively atmosphere. Baier was there for the colourful and gaudy façade design.
