Need some refreshment?
With so much activity, a kiosk is a must. The kiosk was housed in a building ensemble consisting of changing rooms, toilets, a baby changing room and rooms for the DLRG.The modern “sales points” around the building were equipped with Baier vertical sliding windows. They are ideally suited as “pass-throughs”. The vertical sliding windows can be opened upwards. No window sash protrudes into the room, no one can hurt themselves and the space on the window sills can be used completely. To open, the lower, movable window sash is continuously pushed upwards over the fixed glazing and can remain in any desired position. Here in the kiosk at Schlosssee, the window made of safety insulating glass disappears behind the on-site lintel. With this trick, more opening width could be realised. Since the skylight is now partially behind the lintel, the window was fitted with an additional crossbar at the height of the on-site lintel edge.
Vertical sliding window construction made of thermally insulated aluminium profiles
The building with its thatched roof, gnarled wood and rough plaster was equipped with vertical sliding windows made of thermally insulated aluminium profiles. This window construction is weatherproof and corrosion-resistant. Quiet and low-wear operation is ensured by the deflection rollers with plastic-coated ball bearings.
From A for fall protection to E for burglary protection
The manually operated vertical sliding windows are easy to open thanks to the weight compensation. Two fall protection devices built into the sash, patented by Baier itself, secure the sash and thus ensure safety. Locking with 2 profile cylinder locks ensures the highest level of burglary protection. Adapted to the available space and conditions, these sliding windows from Baier are a “practical” plus point in the Schlosssee Nature Adventure Park in Salem.
