Edeka Market Oser

About the object

Iffezheim, known to border crossers through the European joint project, the barrage and to gallop sport lovers and gamblers through the annual “Grand Week” with the Grand Prix of Baden. “Always a gallop leap ahead” is the slogan of the Edeka-owning family and with this the Osers pick up the red thread to the gallop racing venue Iffezheim.

Professionalism is the key to success for the Oser family, and so the former sales area of 200 square metres was enlarged many times over with a modern new building. The Edeka store on the Upper Rhine, which was awarded the Edeka Supercup, presents itself in a contemporary way with a focus on customer friendliness and functionality.

Swing door for fast passage

“Pure enjoyment” is the motto of the Edeka store and Oser customers will find a large selection of proven and well-known products as well as a generous service counter with fresh meat, fish and cheese. When planning the store, great importance was attached to a modern look, but also to smooth work processes. The sales counter is connected to the production area with a Baier swing door. The areas are visually separated but not closed off – a quick passage between the two areas is possible. The swinging door is ideal here because it can be easily pushed open by sales staff even with full hands and swings back to its original position after passing. Customers’ views of the tiled production area are screened off, while the modern, chic view of the service counter is maintained. Baier is a renowned manufacturer of swing doors and offers standard and special solutions, in single or double-leaf configuration for any individual dimensions. Recessed viewing windows, viewing strips or portholes provide the necessary view through the self-closing doors. During the development of the self-closing doors, attention was paid to hygienic and easy-to-clean surfaces. Indispensable for the use of swing doors in food processing areas such as butcheries, cheese dairies, dairies, bakeries or catering kitchens.

Barrier-free access with Baier automatic door

Baier supplied and installed a 2-leaf automatic sliding door for the spacious entrance area of the EDEKA market. The barrier-free access in the entrance and exit area for customers with empty and full shopping trolleys is comfortable. Efficiently adjusted closing times make undisturbed passage and smooth workflows possible. The space-saving automatic doors are extremely practical for public buildings, hotels, hospitals or, as here, in retail.

Practical and beautiful: sliding door with apple design

A single-leaf, space-saving Baier sliding door with a high level of operating convenience provides easy and practical access to the warehouse. With the wall-integrated door solution, the swing area is omitted and the traffic area in front of and behind the door is retained. At the push of a button, without physical contact, staff can open the passage from the warehouse to the food market. In search of a visually appealing solution, the door leaf was equipped with a fresh apple decor on one side. The door wings can be printed or, as here in the Edeka store Oser, pasted with an individual picture.
