Baier can combine tradition and modernity
The wooden slats were supplied by a local woodworker and applied to the black powder-coated frames. The Baden-Bavarian cooperation led to a fitting, visually appealing, perfect result and underlines the closeness to nature without a rustic ambience.
All fittings, including the running rails, were powder-coated black to be as unobtrusive as possible and then completely integrated into the timber cladding of the house.
Motorised privacy and sun protection
Sliding shutters offer perfect shading and privacy protection at the touch of a button. The 53 sliding shutters from Baier, with a width of 1.10 m and a height of 1.60 to 2.60 m, are driven by 230 V direct-connection motors, impress with their quiet operation and thus offer maximum convenience.
Barrier-free egress
In order to follow the trend of “unrestricted freedom of movement”, a channel with comb grating was chosen as the lower guide in the terrace area. The advantage of barrier-free access and a stable guide for the sliding shutters is obvious. After all, exits to the outside look nicer without a threshold.
This is a channel made of multi-edged stainless steel, which can either drain specifically to the front into a seepage area with drainage holes or be connected directly to the local sewage system with a spigot. The grate can optionally be made of anodised or powder-coated aluminium bars or, as in this case, natural stainless steel. The channel with comb grate thus fulfils several functions at the same time: it safely drains off the water occurring on the façade, reliably keeps the sliding shutters in line and, at the same time, enables barrier-free egress.
