Catholic Foundation College

Designed as a "house of communication", the 28 lecture halls and seminar rooms extend over four levels around an open foyer. The new building for the Catholic Foundation University of Applied Sciences Munich replaces the previous building, as renovation was not economically viable. The rectangular building impresses with its solidity and simultaneous transparency and is characterised externally by wooden sliding shutters.

Kasto mechanical engineering

Conceived as a place of encounter, the new Kasto headquarters convinces with its content-related design and expressive architecture. The stair tower in the form of a high rack by Baier is emblematic of the world market leader for metal saws and long goods storage systems, both in its shape and in the material metal.

Kaiserburg Nuremberg

It is the landmark of the city of Nuremberg: the imperial castle with its round tower. In 2018, the medieval imperial palace attracted almost 200,000 visitors. After extensive renovation work, tourists can now experience the monument in new splendour - also thanks to sliding folding shutters from Baier.

Coffee House & Bar

To improve ventilation in the restaurant, modern sliding windows have been installed in the Munich Rosi coffee house, replacing the previous fixed glazing. The new round arched windows from the Baier company differ from the original windows only with regard to a single cross strut and thus comply exactly with the requirements of the preservation order.

Kaffeeberghöfe

The listed building ensemble "Kaffeeberghöfe" in the Affstätt district of Herrenberg has undergone a complete restoration. Both the main house with eight residential units and the two barns, each with two residential units, now shine in new splendour. In order to comply with the preservation order, Baier manufactured sun protection slats for the new skylights.

Red Cube Youth Centre

Sometimes children and young people are a black box for adults - you don't really know what's going on inside them. So that they have their own space, there is the Red Cube youth centre in the municipality of Seebach. Thanks to folding sliding shutters in front of the openings, sometimes closed, sometimes open - just like the users themselves.

John Cranko School

At 90 x 36 metres, the new building of the John Cranko School winds its way up the steep slope with a height of 20 metres. Made of concrete, wood and glass, the building for the world-famous ballet school adapts to the urban and topographical conditions. Large window areas with sliding shutters flush with the façade provide sufficient privacy in the entrance area with maximum light.

Specially coated sliding glass shutters from Baier shade the tubular building and let enough daylight into the room. The modernisation created contemporary buildings with floor-to-ceiling windows, open reception counters and courtyards with a friendly ambience.

Infothek Baureferat

The round and open counter in the entrance area of the technical town hall in Munich was easy to find and representative - but the employees could not work comfortably here. Today, visitors are welcomed by a friendly corner solution framed in wood, complete with sliding aprons and fixed glazing from Baier.

Growth means change - the success story of HTO Härtetechnik proves this impressively. It's good when the industrial halls at the location can also be changed. Even better when new windows, light bands and doors create bright and open rooms with a pleasant working atmosphere.

Four large vertical-sliding windows with internal glazing bars can be opened in fine weather to save space - simply at the touch of a button. The hotel's rural interior style has been combined with the modern materials of metal and glass.
