Four large vertical-sliding windows with internal glazing bars can be opened in fine weather to save space - simply at the touch of a button. The hotel's rural interior style has been combined with the modern materials of metal and glass.

Holzkontor Munich

In Munich, living space is scarce. The Holzkontor site near the city centre seemed like something from another era. In 2017, 120 1-4 room flats were built here alongside a hotel and offices. The large number also came about thanks to sliding shutters from Baier as sun and privacy protection.

In the new development of the former goods station in the south of Frankfurt, density had to be combined with privacy, quality with economy. The solution - sliding shutters from Baier as privacy screens and for façade design. Baier succeeded in harmonising the architects' special design idea with the physical challenges of an ETICS façade.

Farm shop of the Kislau correctional facility

Inmates at the Kislau correctional facility live in an open prison. Many of them are employed in organic farming. For this purpose, the old agricultural buildings of the former "Schloss" Kislau were renovated according to monument protection specifications. Two Baier folding sliding shutters open and close the farm shop.

If the temperatures rise, the roof glazing is simply opened and ventilated. This is made possible by a customised glass roof construction by Baier from Renchtal.

The residential project in Hanover not only offers its residents a roof over their heads, but also ensures rapid integration in the district through guided tours. In addition to the entrance door, the staircase house element and the friendly green façade elements, Baier also supplied 38 double-leaf sliding-folding systems.

In order to preserve the character of the lively quarter in structural terms, the St. Pauli code makes various demands on the design and formulation of the newly emerging architecture. Baier equipped the new hotel building with 121 sliding shutter systems, which lend the façade of the structure its small-scale individuality.

The company Vogt-Plastic is committed to high-quality recycled plastics. It is also taking a sustainable approach to expanding its spatial resources - converting instead of building new. The ridge of an old hall is opened up by a skylight from Baier - new offices are created underneath.

The all-day operation brought the old school building of the primary school of the small community to its spatial capacity limit. But there was also little space available for the new building. The clever idea: thanks to Baier's lift-up folding shutter in front of the food counter, the dining hall becomes the school auditorium.
