Młyn Maria Wroclaw

In the centre of Wroclaw, the historic Młyn Maria mill complex was revitalised in a unique mix of old and new building elements. Silos, warehouses and mills once stood here; today the complex offers space for 120 modern flats. A special feature is the corrugated metal façade with sliding folding shutters by Baier.

What good ideas can achieve in combination with professional know-how becomes clear in the refectory of the Berg education centre. A Baier Hebefaltladen connects the kitchen and dining area in the food serving area.

The challenge for Baier GmbH in this project was that the sliding shutters were to be integrated into the glass façade. Baier "hid" the fittings and drives behind the glass elements.

The visitors' café at Offenburg Hospital presents itself as a bright and modern place for patients, staff and visitors to stay. A movable glass partition wall from Baier underlines the friendly ambience of the gastronomic space and offers numerous advantages.

House at the Dahme Berlin

In the BUWOG residential quarter 52° North in Berlin, the house on the Dahme with 33 flats offers sustainable living space close to the city - and yet is located in the countryside. On the façade, sliding shutters with textile coverings allow privacy and yet unobstructed views.

A building consortium realised an ecological residential building in a sunny gap in Berlin Weißensee. But where there is light, there is also shadow. Fortunately, a sliding shutter system from Baier opened up possibilities where challenges dominated at first glance.

The private residence in the minimalist Bauhaus style called for privacy and sun protection to emphasise the modern look of the façade. Today, the soaring, rigid sun protection louvres from Baier are oriented towards the windows and plaster in terms of colour and design - creating a uniform façade appearance.

Roof conversion in a national monument? This calls for a flair for the nimble - and partners who pull in the same direction. With skylights including shading appropriate for a listed building, the conservationists were able to realise modern living space in the historic roof truss.
