Well equipped for year-round operation with Baier sliding roof windows
Engineering office for construction and surveying Manfred Dietz was commissioned to complete the new construction of the Tripsdrill playhouse by 2012. Nothing should stand in the way of year-round operation in the future.
The tasks included: planning and site management, preparing building applications, architecture, statics and building surveying. In order to meet the goal of year-round operation, heat recovery in winter and heat dissipation in the summer months had to be achieved.
Baier manufactures customised sliding roof windows
The Baier company from Renchen Ulm was able to take on the area of daylight supply and fresh air exchange. For this purpose, a ceiling recess of 5800 x 5000 mm was designed as a glass roof.
This entire area can be opened. There are two sashes that can be slid open to the left and right, thus exposing the entire ceiling recess. The weight of the sash is borne by polyurethane-covered rollers, which take up the vertical and horizontal loads, resulting in quiet running of the mechanism.
The guide consists of special galvanised steel edge parts which are separated between the inner and outer areas in order to prevent the guide from cooling through to the inner area, thus there is no temperature loss. The leaves are each operated with a drive unit that moves both leaves synchronously.
