Swimming pool window

How do swimming pool windows work?

A swimming pool window is a window that is installed in the swimming pool.

In our context, we usually refer to a swimming pool window as a vertical sliding window used to separate the interior and exterior of a swimming pool.

Also called a swim-through opening, a swim-through window or a so-called swimming pool lock separates the outer from the inner swimming pool.

It can be constructed so that the moving sash of the swimming pool window only rises to the surface of the water or only dips slightly into it. In this case, the function in the closed case is to prevent unwanted draughts and thus reduce the energy consumption for heating/cooling.

However, the swimming pool window can also be constructed so that one panel is completely immersed in the water and extends to just below the floor. Then it can also serve as burglary protection.
