Soundproof windows

What is special about soundproof windows?

A soundproof window allows less noise to enter the building. Due to the special construction of soundproof windows, sound waves are refracted and not transmitted into the interior of the room. The strength of the sound insulation depends on the thickness of the pane and the size of the space between the panes. According to DIN 4109, soundproof windows are divided into six sound insulation classes. They are classified according to the sound reduction index, which determines how much noise from outside is shielded by the window.
