How do turnable and stackable sun-shading louvers work?

Rotate for precise shading, stack for greater openness

Turnable and stackable sun-shading louvers are external louver systems that combine two functions: In normal operation, the louvers are motor-driven and can be rotated to finely control daylight, glare and solar heat gain. When greater openness is desired, the louvers can be stacked and gathered to one side in a parking position — making the façade appear significantly “freer” than with permanently fixed systems.

Key benefits of turnable and stackable louvers

  • Continuous daylight control through adjustable louver angles
  • Variable façade appearance: closed, semi-transparent or side-parked
  • Greater day-to-day flexibility (e.g. for views, cleaning or maintenance)
  • Project-specific execution: geometry, louver layout and finishes can be tailored to the design concept
