Accordingly, the entire energy optimisation was also taken into consideration during the new construction and renovation. The storey-high window elements of the fa\u00e7ade were shaded with sliding shutters from Baier with sustainability in mind. Sliding shutters provide excellent sun protection and thus reduce the energy costs for cooling the building in summer, improving the energy balance in the long term.<\/p>\n<p>In the new building, special attention was paid to the use of natural materials and warm tones were emphasised in the colour scheme. 121 wooden sliding shutters complement the aesthetic exterior design and were made of Siberian larch. In order to create the best conditions for a long service life, Baier has developed a frame made of extruded aluminium profiles with a special rear ventilation level.
