They are suitable for all types of sliding doors that could also be realised with a manual sliding door, but which you would like to automate for comfort reasons.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][\/vc_section][vc_section][vc_row][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]Low-energy sliding door drives have some striking differences compared to full-energy sliding door drives, which determine the intended use:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The drives open more slowly.<br \/>\nWith a low-energy sliding door drive, the opening speed is limited so that the door does not emit too much kinetic energy. This is one of the essential safety functions of these drives.<\/li>\n<li>The drives are designed for fewer opening cycles.<br \/>\nEven if low-energy sliding doors are designed for 100,000 or more cycles, this is often not sufficient for a door with frequent pedestrian traffic.<\/li>\n<li>The door weights are limited.<br \/>\nVery large elements with frames and glass are often used, especially for external closures. A low-energy sliding door drive is not designed for these weights.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_column_text]Low-energy sliding door drives are therefore particularly unsuitable for doors with a very high level of public traffic, in the area of public entrances or passages such as those common in shopping markets.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, the advantages of a sliding door with a low-energy sliding door drive are obvious. These are usually much cheaper, they do not necessarily require a sensor system such as light curtains, as is mandatory for their &#8220;big relatives&#8221;.
